How long does a cosmetic tattoo last?
One to three years, depending on the area and your skin. Lips generally fade faster than eyeliner because the tissue renews more quickly. Both can be refreshed rather than redone from scratch.
What exactly is lip correction tattoo?
It evens out an asymmetric or faded lip line and restores soft colour to the lip itself. It's not lipstick — the tone is matched to your natural lip colour so it reads as a better version of your own lips rather than an obvious makeup look.
Is eyeliner tattoo safe so close to the eye?
Yes, when done by a trained technician. Pigment is placed along the lash base, never inside the waterline. Your eye stays closed throughout and nothing touches the eyeball. Expect some swelling for a day or two afterwards — that's normal.
Does it hurt?
Topical numbing is applied before and during. Lips are the more sensitive of the two and can feel buzzy rather than sharp; eyeliner is generally easier than people expect.
Can it be removed if I change my mind?
It fades substantially on its own over one to three years, and can be lightened with saline or laser removal if needed — but removal is slower and more involved than the original work. That's precisely why we insist you approve the drawn-on shape first.
Who should avoid cosmetic tattooing?
We don't work on anyone pregnant or breastfeeding, on blood thinners or Accutane, or with an active cold sore near the lip area — if you're prone to cold sores, lip tattooing can trigger one, so tell us and we'll advise antiviral cover beforehand.
