How is de-tan different from skin bleaching?
De-tan gently restores your skin to its natural tone by clearing sun-induced darkening — it doesn't bleach or artificially lighten beyond your natural colour, so it's far kinder to your skin.
Which areas can be treated?
Face, neck, hands, arms, feet — anywhere the sun has darkened. Many clients do face-and-neck together, or a full set of exposed areas before an event.
How many sessions will I need?
One session gives a visible lift; for deep or long-standing tan, a short course works best. We'll advise based on your skin once we see it.
How do I keep the tan from coming back?
Sun protection is everything — we'll recommend the right SPF and habits. With protection, your even tone holds far longer between rituals.
Will one session remove my tan completely?
A recent tan — yes, usually one session makes a dramatic difference. A tan that's built up over months sits deeper and typically needs 2–3 sessions. We'll tell you which yours is the moment we see it, so you know what you're signing up for.
Is detan safe for sensitive skin, or before waxing?
We patch-test on sensitive skin and use gentler formulations where needed. Do the waxing first, though — detan on freshly waxed skin can sting, so we recommend waxing at least 24–48 hours before your detan session. Book both with us and we'll sequence them properly.
