How is this different from a digital perm?
Cold perming uses no heat — just chemical solution and rods at room temperature — and gives a tighter, more classic curl, faster than a digital perm. Digital perming uses a heated machine for softer, more natural waves that suit longer hair. We'll recommend based on your hair length and the look you want.
How long does a cold perm last?
Typically three to five months, gradually growing out rather than dropping out suddenly.
Will it damage my hair?
It's a genuine chemical process, so we assess your hair's condition and colour history first and use bond-protecting steps. If your hair isn't ready for it, we'll say so honestly.
Can I straighten my hair again afterwards?
Yes, but not immediately — we'd want some recovery time between a perm and a straightening service to avoid over-processing your hair. We'll advise on timing at consultation.
How soon can I colour my hair after?
We'd usually recommend waiting one to two weeks so your hair isn't processed twice in close succession. Your stylist will confirm timing based on how your hair responds to the perm.
